For an excellent description of the Tai language family, we invite you to read Britannica's entry. Likewise, Ethnologue provides a very thorough breakdown of all Tai languages. Please take a look at the uniform transliteration system we have developed for all Tai languages and dialects for members of the Tai family and Tai researchers of Tai literatures and cultures.
