MAP

The Migrant Assistance Program (MAP) is a non-profit organization based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, dedicated to helping ethnic migrants from Burma. Volunteers provide information on a variety of issues. MAP produces very nice informational brochures, a regular bulletins, and a nightly radio broadcast for migrants.

The four brochures MAP has produced to date contain information in Shan on the following subjects:

  • First Aid
  • Living in Thailand
  • Dangers of Narcotics
  • Employment Rights and Law

MAP's radio broadcast airs nightly in Chiang Mai at 2130 hours on the radio at a frequency of 1420 AM.
