The Shan Women's Action Network (SWAN) is a non-profit organization based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. SWAN is dedicated to education and literacy. Volunteers provide information on women's issues, health concerns, and AIDS.  Additionally, they teach the Shan language. SWAN distributes for free (but accepts donations for) elementary primers in the Shan language for grades one through five.
